Slieve Gullion is my favourite place in the world. I was so lucky to grow up in a place so beautiful and so steeped in Irish mythology.
As kids, we reinacted the magical stories of Finn McCool, Cu Chulainn and the Cailleach Beara. We played on “Ireland’s most mystic mountain” and our imaginations ran wild.
The feminist revolutionary Maud Gonne McBride wrote to local folklore collector Michael J. Murphy, saying ‘Slieve Gullion sang to me and I could write down the air’
This captures how I feel.
“Gullion Graphics” is an ode to the place I developed my creativity, a place I am proud to call home.
